MicroMet is using the state-of-the-art technology which allows Sat-Guard™ to effectively manage the tracking and guarding of the vehicles and assets compared to all other current systems. Many existing tracking devices already use Satellite based Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) cellular technology to locate a vehicle / asset and report it by sending a text message over the cellular phone network. MicroMet's technology is unique as it combines both GPS and GSM with the internet based GPRS technology. This allows the tracking and reporting of vehicle and asset position data through the Internet any where in the world at extremely low operating costs compared to our competitors.
